Local League: Jackson, Vijay hit tons

Batting first, Jackson and Washington Sundar piled on Alwarpet’s agony with a 113-run partnership for the second wicket in just over 12 overs to put Trotters in a commanding position. Jackson upped the ante in the final three overs that yielded 43 runs with the centurion scoring 39 of them in 14 balls.

Chasing, Alwarpet never got into the groove and could manage only 150/8 in 20 overs. S Aniruda was the pick of the bowlers with 3/15 in three overs. 

In another match, Vijay Shankar scored an unbeaten 120 off 51 balls to guide Vijay CC to a 36run win over AGS Office. Vijay hit five boundaries and 11 sixes and put on a 115 run partnership with B. Aparajith in 65 balls. Vijay scored 88 of those runs in the partnership in 39 balls.
