Chennai
The song that also has veena by Rajesh Vaidya has clocked over 1.3 lakh views so far. Talking to DT Next, Prasanna says, “I always wanted to work on a Guruvayoorappan song and in Malayalam once. I got a call from the temple authorities in Kerala on Krishna Jayanthi to work on a song. They had listened to one of my songs and wanted me to give them a similar composition and everything fell in place.” Prasanna has also collaborated with his daughter Sreshtaa for the video. “My friend Raghashri ensured that we had everything in place for this project to happen. My daughter had sung once when she was a kid. And now, we have sung together for a song titled Punarvelaiyaai which is sung for Krishna in the early morning. I would call this a divine calling,” he shares.
Prasanna adds that the song was shot in Dakshina Chitra village on ECR. “We weren’t allowed to shoot in temples and Dakshina Chitra gave us the permission and video has come out well. People can view it on my YouTube channel VV Prasanna,” he tells us. Prasanna is also working on the music of sequel to Sundara Travels and a Vemal film. “Apart from that, I am also working on indie music,” he concludes.
