Bollywood actor Hema Malini and her two daughters Esha and Ahana have collaborated several times for dance performances. However, they are coming together as singers for the very first time for a devotional song. The mother-daughter trio has recorded a song for a devotional album Raja Ganpati. Hema Malini said, “In the beginning of my Bhartanatayam dance show, I always perform for Ganpati stotra. I have performed on Pranamya Shirasa Devam many times. Since I have learnt Sanskrit, I know how to recite these shlokas.” Ahana shared that this is one of the first shlokas that she learnt when she started studying Sanskrit. “Amid the pandemic, it felt good to be a part of an album like this, which spreads positivity,” she said. Singer Shankar Mahadevan also recorded a devotional track with his sons Siddharth and Shivam. He said, “While all festivals will be celebrated differently this year, I find myself extremely lucky to be celebrating this with my family. From my family to yours, here’s wishing you a very Happy Vinayaga Chaturthi.”

Meanwhile, several renowned personalities are urging people to celebrate an Eco-friendly Vinayaga Chathurthi this year. The initiative aims at reducing pollution caused by immersing deities in water made of Plaster Of Paris. Some small screen celebrities found a spot on the list of trends for sharing pictures of themselves making their own Vinayagar idols at home. Juhi Parmar, television actress and vlogger was very excited as she prepares an idol on her own with sheer dedication and meticulousness. She is also joined by her daughter in making the form of Bappa at home.

Juhi wrote, “And so we decided while we have been going eco friendly every year, this year let’s make our own Ganpati Idol at home. None of us are experts but the beauty is in the love and devotion. There was a magical feeling by the end of it when we saw our Ganpati ji and everything just felt right (sic)!”
