Maha Shivratri: Temples of lord Shiva across India swarming with devotees

Ahead of Maha Shivratri, numerous temples of lord Shiva across India are swarming with devotees from different regions. Special poojas for Lord Shiva are set to take place on Friday night owing to Shivratri.
Sivan temples across India are decorated with colorful flowers and lamps on this auspicious day.
Devotees started to gather around the temples from early morning to seek Lord Shiva's blessings.Â

Maha Shivratri programs are planned in grandeur manner today in Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. The programs have begun on 6 am today, and will extend up to 6 am till Saturday. Devotees from different regions from India will take part in the celebrations conducted by Isha Yoga Centre.Â
Safety precautions are being planned at major Sivan temples across the nation to prevent any mishaps.Â
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter on Friday to wish the people on Maha Shivratri.Â
