The Hindu religion has six religious doctrines. Worshipping Lord Ganesha is the prime doctrine among the six. All the divisions in the Hindu religion preaches worship of Lord Ganesha as the foremost principle. Devotees of Lord Ganesha will face no hindrances in any step they take ahead in their lives. 

Vinayakar is known for granting all the wishes of his worshippers. According to legend, Lord Shiva once started his journey to Thiripura to burn it. But, his chariot wheel broke in mid way as he forgot to worship Lord Ganesha. Lord Shiva won by burning Thiripura only after worshipping Lord Ganesha.
