Life’s Lessons: Share happiness to meet God
Once upon a time, there lived a little boy who wanted to meet God. Knowing that it would be a long trip to where he lived, he packed his suitcase with ‘Twinkies’, a six-pack of root beer, and embarked on the journey. On his way, about three blocks away, he met an old woman sitting alone in the park.

He sat down next to her and took out a root beer. As the old woman seemed hungry, he offered her a Twinkie, which she gratefully accepted and smiled at him. Delighted at her smile, he offered her a root beer to see her smile again.
Once again she smiled at him. They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but neither of them speak a word. Once it got dark, the boy realised he was very tired and needed to return home.
While departing, the two exchanged hugs and the old woman gave him her biggest smile. Back home, the boy’s mother was surprised seeing him so happy. She asked him, “What made you so happy today?” “I had lunch with god,” the boy replied.
Before his mother could reply, he added, “She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen.” Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked her, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She replied, “I ate Twinkies in the park with god.” But, before her son responded, she added, “You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”
Moral: God is everywhere. We just need to share our happiness and make others smile to feel him
