Inner peace is the source of peace in the world
Why do we experience lack of peace both within ourselves and in our external world? The problem isn’t nature versus humans. It is a fact that the human lives we have lost due to natural disasters is comparatively far lesser in number than the number of people killed by another human being.

Discrimination, the enemy of peace:
We need to realize that we cannot solve the problem by fixing nature, because nature can never be fixed. Nature is always in harmony. The pollution we face, the contamination we have in food and water, all of these aren’t naturally created. They are there because of human beings.
The first thing we need to admit is that the lack of peace is because of ‘discrimination’, the fight between our own brothers and sisters in the name of identity and nationality. This is the fundamental need of peace and progress for the present and the future.
The shameful act of discrimination; I do not even use the word ‘sinful’, I am particularly using the word ‘shameful’, never happens and will never happen with any other creation in this entire universe.
The divine truth is that there is no discrimination in God’s creation. The entire world is our nation and humanity our relation. This is the highest truth of spirituality! Remember the divine truth, discrimination is never a possibility in God’s creation!
However, due to our ignorance, limited perception, misleading information and social influences we wrongly believe that we have the right to kill our own brothers and sisters and we clash over beliefs based on religion, caste, language and nationality.
Somehow, we have arrived at a great system to protect animals and non-violence towards animals is being followed and promoted across the globe, but the same values are not extended to humans. Remember, carnage or fight between one another can never be the solution to achieving peace and growth.
Inner peace, the only path to external peace:
Is it then possible to have a peaceful future? Yes, it is. If we are discussing it now, it means we can even work to achieve it in the future. The only thing needed is that we start approaching the situation with a solution, not with a conceptualised illusion.
This is the very reason the Vedas say, ‘Asato ma sadgamaya, tamasoma jyotir gamaya, mrityorma amritam gamaya’. With self-effort we can train ourselves to be aware that we have all come to this planet earth in human form for a divine reason; not to discriminate.
Is there a way to create a peaceful humanity? Certainly, there is. The simplest and only way to create external peace is to experience inner-peace, and to experience inner-peace, one has to experience inner silence. Nothing in the external world can give you inner-peace, but a peaceful self will certainly create a peaceful surrounding within the family, community, nationality and ultimately in the entire globe.
‘The whole world is our nation and the entire humanity is our relation’ - this understanding and realisation is the only foundation and source for ultimate global peace!
Oneness, the source of all progress:
Every holy scripture insists on this one simple thing and failing to understand this is the reason for absence of peace on this planet earth. We are here to facilitate each other, not to fight with each other. If possible, help one another in every situation and not hurt another. This must be understood within the family, within the society and within the world.
Once you realise this, you will not have a wanting to win the fight, but you will effortlessly win the heart. And no power has the power to stop the progress of peace the world will experience.
This is because a conscious decision made by a human being is a decision made by the consciousness itself. An understanding of this will give you peace in the present situation knowing that we can achieve peace for the future.
