A letter supposedly issued by the Tourism Ministry saying that restaurants in the country will remain closed till Oct 15, has gone viral. Alt News found the order replete with spelling and grammatical errors, to be a fake document. The order also mentions indiantourism.org – which doesn’t exist. The official website of the Tourism Ministry is tourism.gov.in. All government websites either end with ‘.gov’ or ‘.nic’.
