Vetrivel had released the video in the run up to the RK Nagar bypolls and it was widely circulated on social media. The video has since been submitted as part of evidence to the Justice A Arumugasamy enquiry commission, which is probing into the death of Jayalalithaa.
Describing it as a move to pin the blame of her death on members of the Sasikala family, Vetrivel alleged that Komala, who is Public Secretary to Justice Arumugasamy, was the source for the speculations.
He said that the news was being spread to tilt public perception towards one side and that a legal challenge will be mounted if the outcome of the enquiry commission’s probe is felt to be untrue.
Jayalalithaa spent 75 days at the hospital following her admission on September 22, 2016, after taking ill at her residence in Poes Garden. She passed away on December 5, 2016. The commission is set to submit its final report on October 24 this year. Over 50 individuals have deposed before the one-man commission thus far.
