

CHENNAI: Southern Railway (SR) has announced the normal timings of the three Amrit Bharat train services flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
The regular service of Train No 16121 Tambaram–Thiruvananthapuram Amrit Bharat Express (Weekly) will start from Tambaram at 5 pm on Wednesdays from January 28 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 8 am the next day.
On the return journey, the train No 16122 will depart Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10.40 am on Thursdays from January 29 and reach Tambaram at 11.45 pm, the same day.
The regular service of Train No 17041 Charlapalli–Thiruvananthapuram weekly train will depart from Charlapalli at 7.15 am on Tuesdays from January 27 and reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 2.45 pm the next day. Train No 17042 will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 05.30 pm on Wednesdays from January 28 and reach Charlapalli at 11.30 pm the next day.
The regular service of Train No 16329 Nagercoil–Mangaluru weekly express will depart from Nagercoil Jn at 11.40 am on Tuesdays from January 27 and reach Mangaluru Jn North at 5 am the next day. Train No 16330 will leave Mangaluru Jn at 8 am on Wednesdays from January 28 and reach Nagercoil at 10.05 pm, the same day.
Coach composition of the Amrit Bharat train services is of eight sleeper class coaches, 11 general second class coaches, two general second class (disabled friendly) and one pantry car. Reservation for the trains will open at 8 am on January 24 (Saturday), said a press release.
