Identified as Sudhakar (30) of Moongapattu near Gudiyattam in Vellore district, the man charged before Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s car and held a knife to his throat. He shouted out to the CM to solve his problem, or else he would kill himself.
Security personnel immediately whisked the man away and took him to the police station for interrogation. He revealed that he had taken this step as he was unable to repay a loan he had taken from private parties, who were threatening him. When heard last, the investigation was still on and no case was registered.
