COIMBATORE: Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader Seeman on Monday asked why the DMK continues to be in the ‘INDIA’ bloc even though some parties in it are in support of ‘Sanatana Dharma.’

Addressing reporters in Erode after appearing in the court, for a case on his controversial remarks against the Arunthathiyar community during the campaign for the Assembly polls, Seeman said that it’s all vote bank politics of the DMK.

“Sanatana Dharma’ is against humanity as it fosters inequality among people,” he said. Taking a further dig on the DMK, Seeman asked why Chief Minister MK Stalin participated in the G20 meeting in New Delhi, when none of the other leaders from the ‘INDIA’ front took part.

The NTK leader also pointed to the contradictions in the alliance by opposition parties, which were pitted against each other in some states, while they have forged an alliance in some other states.

On Karnataka’s announcement that it is not in a position to give Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, Seeman said it does not augur well for the interest of the nation. “When all resources in Tamil Nadu are shared among other states, it should be the case in sharing water too,” he said.

Further, Seeman said, if Minister Senthilbalaji opens up, then many have to go to prison and so the DMK has been staying loyal to him. He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not apologising to the nation for Manipur violence.
