CHENNAI: A 36-year-old notorious history-sheeter, who has about 35 cases including five murder charges pending against him, was secured by a special team of Kilpauk police. The accused Sagayam alias Devasagayam of Semmanchery failed to appear for the trial in three different cases and non-bailable warrants were executed against him. A special team launched a hunt and secured him from Namakkkal and brought him to Chennai on Monday. Police said that he would be remanded in judicial custody and would be taken into custody later.
