Although many companies have reported maintaining and enforcing strict levels of hygiene, doctors still recommend individuals to ensure that the rules are adhered to. “There will be a lot of interaction after a long period. Try to avoid extended period of contact with others, and always maintain six feet between each other,” said a general physician at a government hospital.
Wearing masks, washing hands regularly and using sanitiser are musts. Doctors also appealed that employees should report any and all discrepancies immediately to avoid any community spread of the disease.
“If possible, try to work from home. Personally, I think working from an office is very dangerous and must be avoided at this time. But if someone is called in for duty, remain vigilant and maintain strict personal hygiene,” said Arul Murugan, a postgraduate student at Madras Medical College.
