CHENNAI: The ruling DMK's new digital outreach initiative to gather public feedback for the party's 2026 Assembly election manifesto has attracted more than 14,000 suggestions and requests from across Tamil Nadu, within a day after its launch.

The initiative, unveiled on Saturday, is conducted through a mobile application that includes a dedicated phone number, website, social media channels, and an artificial intelligence-enabled portal, enabling citizens to share their views, expectations, and policy suggestions. The multi-platform framework has been rolled out statewide to ensure broader public participation in shaping the party's electoral agenda.

According to data released by the party, a total of 14,318 inputs were received on the very first day. Of these, 1,188 suggestions came through direct phone calls, while WhatsApp accounted for 7,527 responses.

Another 251 submissions were received via email, 2,015 through social media platforms and the official website, and 692 through QR code scans.

Notably, the AI-powered portal alone generated 2,645 responses, underscoring the growing role of technology-driven engagement.

Party sources said the strong initial response reflects public interest in contributing to policy discussions and grassroots-level governance priorities. The feedback collected through the various channels will be consolidated, analysed and factored into the DMK's manifesto for the 2026 Assembly polls.

The party said the outreach campaign will continue in the coming weeks, with efforts to expand participation across urban and rural regions further.
