The WHO has so far approved COVID vaccines developed by Pfizer-BioNTech, US pharma majors Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, China’s Sinopharm and Oxford-AstraZeneca for emergency use. Covaxin is one of the six vaccines that have received emergency use authorisation.
