CHENNAI: Gold worth Rs 2.5 crore was confiscated from a passenger who arrived at the airport here from Dubai on Saturday, Customs officials said.
The gold weighing about 5 kg was concealed as coiled wire. The Indian passenger has been arrested and further investigation is on, the Customs department said.
