Mahadevan (25) of Ambattur-Oragadam, who works with a private firm, was in a relationship with an 18-year-old in the locality for the last two years. After the girl’s parents came to know about their relationship, she started avoiding Mahadevan. An infuriated Mahadevan then created an anonymous Facebook account to malign girl’s image. After the girl complained with Ambattur all-women police, a case was registered. Since Mahadevan admitted to the crime, he was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday.
