Water production activities at the 100 million litres a day plant will be stopped for 24 hours from 3 pm on January 3 to 4. Hence, water supply to areas including Adyar, Velachery, Besant Nagar, Sholinganallur, Injambakkam, Neelankarai, Kottivakkam, Perungudi, Palavakkam, Tiruvanmiyur, Mandaveli and Mylapore will be affected, said a press release from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
