CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed Savukku A Shankar to approach the Saidapet Magistrate Court with his petitions seeking release of his frozen bank accounts and other seized properties.
Shankar, who has been granted interim bail until March 25 in cheating cases registered by the Adambakkam and Saidapet police, had moved the High Court seeking orders to de-freeze five bank accounts, remove the seal placed on his Adambakkam office, and return electronic devices, including cameras and hard disks, seized during the investigation.
Hearing the petitions, a bench of Justices SM Subramaniam and PDhanabal said Shankar should approach the Saidapet Magistrate Court regarding these requests. It further ordered that the Saidapet court should consider the petitioner's pleas in accordance with the law.
