The accused Viswadharshini had been arrested by Royapettah police last year under Pocso Act after Gayathri Sainath wrote to the National Commission for Women seeking action against her for her abusive posts about the actress’ minor daughter.
Viswadharshini who came out on bail allegedly continued to harass Gayathri to withdraw her complaint and threatened she has had access to the actress’ private videos which she would release online if she did not withdraw her complaint.
Gayathri lodged a new complaint against Viswadharshini at Teynampet police station and a case was registered under 384 of IPC and 67 of IT Act. Viswadharshini was arrested on Tuesday near Chennai Central and remanded in judicial custody.
