Police seized Rs 5 lakh and a scanner from them. Police had arrested an immigration official, K Mathivanan (58) of Pudupet, in possession of five Indian passports when he was about to board a Turkey-bound flight on June 7.
Based on his confession that Dhanapal and gang made fake passports for Bangladesh and Sri Lankan nationals to gain entry into Europe, police had launched a hunt.
