Police identify man found dead inside Vyasarpadi mutt

CHENNAI: A day after a body was found with a face misfigured by an attack inside a Vyasarpadi mutt, the police have identified the victim as Naresh Kumar (21) of Vyasarpadi.

Three suspects were identified and a search is under way.

Initial probe revealed that Naresh had a fallout with three youths, who had given him money to procure ganja.

However, Naresh neither procured the drug nor returned their money, citing police surveillance.

This triggered an altercation between them and on Tuesday night, the group got drunk and murdered Naresh.
