The police identified the arrested men as ‘Vendakai’ Dinesh, a known history sheeter; Manikandan of Royapettah and Mani of Thousand lights. Officials said the three were involved in various mobile phone snatching in and around T Nagar.
The trio come under the police scanner after two of the victims lodged complaints in October that their phones were snatched.
In one incident, a 22-year-old youth who was walking towards his house in Thirumalai Pillai Road was relieved of his mobile phone by a bike-borne duo.
