The petitioners, including United Hindu Front president Jai Bhagwan Goyal, Dharam Raksha Sangh chief Saurabh Gaur and lawyers Rajendra Maheshwari and Mahendra Pratap Singh, have said that the 1968 agreement between Shri Krishna Janamsthan Sewa Sangh and the Shahi Masjid Idgah Committee was illegal.

They claimed that the Sewa Sangh was not authorised to sign any agreement since the entire land is in the name of Shri Krishna Janambhoomi Trust.

The two earlier petitions were filed by Ranjana Agnihotri, a lawyer from Lucknow, and Shri Krishna Virajman. The petitions will come up for hearing on January 7.

Meanwhile, the Shri Krishna Janambhoomi Nyas will now launch a countrywide signature campaign in support of the liberation of Krishna Janambhoomi.

Nyas chief Acharya Dev Murari Bapu said that over 500 saints and seers from 23 states have joined the Nyas which was formed in July this year.

Mahant Diya Giri of the Mankameshwar temple in Lucknow said that the solution to the problem was possible only through a mass campaign.
