Infant mortality rate has reduced in West Bengal: Mamata
The Chief Minister said ORS are a cost-effective method of health intervention.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said infant mortality rate in the state has come down from 32 to 25 per 1,000 live births.
"In #Bangla, we have reduced infant mortality rate (IMR) from 32 to 25 per 1,000 live births," Banerjee said in a tweet, on the occasion of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) Day.
The Chief Minister said ORS are a cost-effective method of health intervention.
"Acute diarrhoeal diseases are one of the leading causes of mortality in infants," Banerjee added.
