Talking to news persons on the sidelines of electioneering in support of Congress Candidate V Vaithilingam for the April 18 Lok Sabha election at Nellithoppe assembly segment here, Narayanasamy said while, the congress election manifesto is packed with significant points such as employment generation, waiver of agricultural loan, separate budget for agriculture, separate ministry for fishermen, statehood for Puducherry and among other things. However, the BJP manifesto contains only waiver of loan interest to farmers who obtain more than Rs one lakh in a year, construction of Ram Temple and scrapping of Article 370.

These cannot be considered as significant announcements by the BJP, he said, and on the other hand the manifesto is one depriving the public their individual freedom, he said.

The Chief Minister alleged that the BJP is always against the southern states, particularly Puducherry.

Puducherry is going on seeking funds, but it is getting only 26 percent while Tamil Nadu is getting 45 percent.

For obvious reasons, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned some schemes for Tamil Nadu while neglecting other southern states.

He said BJP is a party of a few people of North India and that’s why the people of the country has decided to ignore BJP in the Lok Sabha election and claimed that AICC President Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister with Congress Party forming the government at the Centre.

Coming down heavily on N R Congress President and Opposition leader N Rangaswamy, Narayanasamy said that he is canvassing as if he is campaigning for an assembly election.

Not even in a single place, he mentioned the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi or that he wanted Modi to become the PM again, the CM said.

Every where he is pointing out a change in the government in Puducherry after the Lok Sabha Election, Mr Narayanasamy said how could it be possible when the Congress front is having 18 members and N R congress 7 in the Assembly.

Rangaswamy failed in his prolonged horse trading and now is under the grip of fear that his MLAs may switch over.

He said he had canvassed for Vaithilingam in all the four regions of the Union territory and every where people are in support of the Congress and they wanted Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister.

Hence, Vaithingam will win the Puducherry seat.
