Addressing Congress workers in Kamaraj Nagar here, Narayanasamy said NR Congress founder Rangaswamy, who floated the N R Congress after betraying the Congress, came to power earlier with a promise to secure statehood for Puducherry in alliance with

the AIADMK.

“There was a promise of two ministerial berths for the AIADMK in the alliance. However, when they won, N R Congress ignored the AIADMK and formed a government on its own.”

Following this, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa in  2011  termed the N R Congress as a traitor, the CM recalled, adding that she declared that her party would never forgive Rangaswamy for stabbing it from behind, during the 2016 election campaign.

“The AIADMK has now formed an alliance with N R Congress. Even the ghost of Jayalalithaa will not pardon them,” he said, adding that it is an opportunistic alliance.

Narayanasamy said  PMK founder  S Ramadoss, who had lodged a complaint with the Governor of Tamil Nadu that Palaniswami and Panneerselvam were corrupt, is also now in that alliance.

“How will people vote to such an ‘opportunistic’ alliance,” he wondered.

The Chief Minister alleged that  Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to fulfill any of his promise, including depositing Rs 15 lakh in the account of every Indian, employment generation for 2 crore people and starting of new industries.

On the other hand, he implemented demonetization of higher value currencies on  November  8, 2016 with a statement that it would help eradicate black money  and supply of funds to terrorists. However, nothing had materialized and demonetization was an utter failure, the CM charged.

The GST was introduced diminishing the economic growth of the country and the price of LPG cylinder rose to 1050 from Rs 450. If Modi is back again as the Prime Minister, then India will be shattered, Narayanasamy cautioned.

He said Rangaswamy wanted to become the Chief Minister and hence, he was allegedly indulging in horse trading. “AIADMK MLA Vayyapuri Manikandan and N R Congress MLA Jayabal were trapped and the Speaker is  considering to disqualify them.

Already the strength of N R Congress came down to 7 from eight with the disqualification of Ashok Anand and hence, they could not form the government, Narayanasamy said.
