MeT forecasts heavy snowfall, rainfall in HP
Most of places in the high reaches are continue to be under thick sheet of snow as about 300 roads could not opened for last one week.

Heavy snow likely to occur in many places in the high reaches and widespread rainfall in most places from tomorrow onward as fresh western disturbances is becoming active from tomorrow onward.
The Met Office forecast rain or snow fall in Many places from tomorrow onward and heavy to very heavy snowfall in isolated places in the mid and high reaches .
Most of places in the high reaches are continue to be under thick sheet of snow as about 300 roads could not opened for last one week.
The fresh snowfall would further disrupt the normal life as road ,power and telecommunications services are already hampered due to recent heavy snowfall and mounting of snow and frost in most roads .
District Administration Shimla said that it had opened vehicular traffic on Hindustan Tibet National Highway no-5 from Kufri to Narkanda upto Rampur. and State highway between Theog-Chopal-Thoeg to Kharpather and Rohru yesterday.
Today the buses and tourist vehicles would be allowed to ply on this road however road is still slippery in many places . It is not advisable to travel in the night and wee hours as vehicles could skid out of or road and went out of control on the slippery road.
Meanwhile Snow and Avalanches Study Establishment issued advisory to not venture in the avalanche prone areas as the threats are looming large with mainly sunny weather and thick piles of snow on the such places.
The people living along the snowline areas in Tribal Lahaul Spiti, Chamba, Kinnar and Kullu are asked to remained in their home and not venture open alone in avalanche probe areas.
Minimum temperature still keeping under subzero and several degree below freezing point in minus keeping the coldwave condition unchanged. Keylong in Lahal Spit district was at minus 16.2 degrees and 6.2 degree below normal.
Minimum temperature of snowbound Kalpa in Kinnuar recorded minus 9.2 degrees which is coldest of this season in the town and 5.4 degree down the normal, tourist resort Kufri was minus 5.8 degrees and 1.7 degree down the normal.
Tourist resort Kufri was minus 3.8 degrees, , Bhuntar in Kullu minus one degrees, Dalhousie minus 0.6 degrees ,Solan 0.4 degrees , Sundernagar in Mandi at zero degrees , Chaba  0.1 dsegrees and Shimla 0.8 degrees.
Minimum temperature of Mandi 1.2 degrees, Palampur 1.7 degrees, Kangra 1.9 degrees, Dharmshala two degrees, Bilaspur 2.6 degrees, Hamirpur 2.8 degrees and Nahan 2.9 degrees respectively. The state likely to get rain or snowfall at few places in the mid and high reaches on Feb 1. Warning of heavy to very heavy in isolated places in mid and high reaches was issued on Jan 31.
