Media policy to be notified, says Bedi

In a release issued after visiting the department to review its support system, the Lt Governor also directed the department that grievance of press fraternity that had assembled at the complex pertaining to accreditation of press, issue of Identity Cards, press club functioning etc., be addressed in a time-bound manner and to frame norms for release of advertisements to media.

Dr Bedi who directed that National Press Day be celebrated by inviting senior journalists from other states, also directed the department to attend to the complaint by a senior judicial officer who was given hospitality at the Indira Nagar Guest house and to maintain it properly.

Action be initiated to outsource the running of the guest house for professional maintenance, she added.
