Eid-ul-Azha celebrated with religious fervor, gaiety in Jammu
The Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety throughout the Jammu on Wednesday.
New Delhi
Thousands of animals, mostly sheep and goats, were sacrificed on the occasion.
Lakhs of people, including women and children, offered prayers in mosques, Eidgah, Jamia Masjid and other religious places.
People were seen distributing sweets among the neighbours, relatives and friends.
However, people alleged that there was no check on prices of sacrificial animals this time.
Children could be seen visiting parks and other places in the city.
Reports of festivities were also received from all the parts of the Kashmir valley.
