    Kerala Flood: Pattern of train services changed

    Vehicles taking the inter-state roads from southern districts of Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar and Theni upto the Kerala border are plying without much hindrance.

    Due to heavy rains, land slips, flash floods and closure of section between Shoranur, Kozhikkode in Palakkad Division and  Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kayamkulam section in Thiruvananthapuram Division, Railway has announced changes in the pattern of services.

    A release from Thiruvananthapuram division of Southern Railway (SR) said, an Express Special will be operated  from Ernakulam to Tambaram via Kollam, Trivandrum, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Trichy, Villupuram and Chengalpattu will leave Ernakulam at 02:30 hrs on August 19 and reach Tambaram at 22:00 hrs the same day.

    The following trains which are fully cancelled on August 19 were: Train No.16650 Nagercoil - Mangalore Parasuram Express, Train No.16649 Mangalore - Nagercoil Parasuram Express, Train No 17229 Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad Deccan Express, Train No 16604 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Maveli Express, Train No.16605 Mangalore - Nagercoil Ernad Express, Train No 16629 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Malabar Express, Train No 16347 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express, Train No 22208 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai central Express, Train No 12697 Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram Superfast express, Train No 16308 Kannur-Alappuzha Executive Express, Train No 16306 Kannur-Ernakulam Inter-city Express, Train No 12075 Kozhikkode-Thiruvananthapuram Janshatabdi Express, Train No 16301 Shoranur-Thiruvananthapuram Venad Express, Train No 16792 Palakkad-Tirunelveli Palaruvi Express, Train No 66611 Palakkad-Ernakulam MEMU Express, and Train No 56664 Kozhikkode-Thrissur Passenger.

    The other trains which are fully cancelled today are  Train No 56361 Shoranur-Ernakulam Passenger,

    Train No. 56363 Nilambur - Kottayam Passenger and and  Train No.16525 Kanniyakumari - KSR Bengaluru Island Express.

    The following trains which  are partially cancelled on August 19 are Train No.16606 Nagercoil - Mangalore Ernad Express between Ernakulam and Mangalore and will run from Nagercoil to Ernakulam, Train No.16341 Guruvayur - Thiruvananthapuram Express between Guruvayur and Ernakulam and will run from Ernakulam to Trivandrum, Train No.16302 Trivandrum - Shoranur Express is partially cancelled between Ernakulam and Shoranur and will run from Trivandrum to Ernakulam, Train No.13352 Alappuzha - Dhanbad Express between Alappuzha and Chennai and will run from Chennai to Dhanbad. Train No.12076 Thiruvananthapuram - Kozhikkode Express  between Ernakulam and Kozhikkode and will run from Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam, Train No.16342 Thiruvananthapuram - Guruvayur Express between Ernakulam and Guruvayur and will run from Trivandrum to Ernakulam, Train No.16127 Chennai Egmore - Guruvayur Express  between Ernakulam and Guruvayur and will run from Chennai to Ernakulam, Train No.16128 Guruvayur - Chennai Egmore Express between Guruvayur and Ernakulam and will run from Ernakulam to Chennai and Train No 12617 Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express between Ernakulam and Mangalore central and will run from Mangalore Jn. to H.Nizamuddin.

    Train No. 16382 Kanniyakumari - Mumbai CST Express on August 19 will be diverted to run via Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Dindigul and Erode.
