Policeman booked for molesting lady colleague in Thane
A police constable attached to the Navi Mumbai police was on Wednesday booked by the Thane City police on the alleged charges of molesting his colleague, a lady constable, the police said.

Thane Police PRO Sukhada Narkar said the alleged accused was among the police party which was on duty with the undertrials being taken to the Thane district court for hearing.
It was yesterday that one of the prisoners wanted to drink water and the victim asked the accused to loosen the handcuffs of the prisoner so that he could drink water. Upon this, the accused got annoyed and abused the victim and also pulled her down from the van by holding her by her collar, and touched her inappropriately and also kicked her on her abdomen, a complaint by the victim with the Thane Nagar police late last night stated.
The police gave the name of the alleged accused as Kiran Kamble and said that he had been booked under sections 354,509 and 504 of the IPC and no arrest has been made so far in connection with the incident.
The local police are probing the crime, the police said.
