PM Modi meets Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, holds bilateral parleys
India and Brunei Darussalam on Thursday decided to give further boost to their bilateral ties and sought greater cooperation in defence, security, energy and space along with other sectors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, who is here to participate at the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit.
"Bolstering ties with Brunei Darussalam! PM @narendramodi and His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah had positive discussion on cooperation in defence and security, energy, ICT, education, health and space," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Setting the tone for high-pitched diplomatic exercise aimed at giving a push to India's Act East policy, Prime Minister Modi during last two days has held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders and nation heads from Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
Mr Modi will address the plenary session of the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit later in the day.
The theme of the Summit is 'Shared Value, Common Destiny'. The ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit is being organised to mark 25 years of India-ASEAN relations, 15 years of summit partnership with ASEAN and five years of India's strategic partnership with ASEAN as a block.
President Ram Nath Kovind will be hosting a lunch for the visiting ASEAN guests on Thursday at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
There will be a special Retreat of Prime Minister with ASEAN heads of nations at Rashtrapati Bhawan.Â
