Girl commits suicide in Doda district
A teenage girl student from Bhadarwah area of Doda district allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the river Chenab at Pul Doda area, police said.

The 19-year-old was a student of Government Degree College Bhadarwah.
According to reports, the girl, a meritorious student, seemed upset after coming out of the examination centre yesterday and instead of going back to her rented accommodation boarded a Pul Doda-bound mini bus.
"After getting information, a police party from Police Station Doda reached the spot and retrieved her body from the river with the help of rescuers and SDRF team," said SSP, Doda, Mohammad Shabir.
The deceased has been identified as as Sheetal Bhagat.
Police have started inquest proceedings to ascertain the cause of death.
