After the Gorakhpur children deaths inhospital due to lack of Oxygen supply, Raipur has come now to limelight for asimilar tragedy.
Three infants admitted in the BR Ambedkar government hospital undergoing treatment had died due to lack of oxygen. Among the infants one of them was a five-day-old baby, who was being treated for heart condition.
The authorities however denied any such deficiencyof oxygen supply at the hospital premises. Further, they claimed that the staffsand duty doctors had taken adequate care during the emergency by raising alarmwhen the oxygen pressure had suddenly dropped.
However, unfortunately the infants hadsuccumbed to inadequacy of oxygen supply, following which, the operatorin-charge was suspended.
Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh condoled the deaths ofthe children and ordered probe into the issue with immediate effect.
