During the proceedings after Mr. Naidu took over as Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed him and said “ Naidu has come to hold the high office from his long experience in Parliament.” “Naidu has risen from the grassroots, will lead the Indian polity to greater heights,” Mr. Modi added.
