Lok Sabha was adjourned for about 10 minutes after Congress and Left members trooped into the Well protesting the "racial" remarks made against "South Indians" by a BJP leader.

Immediately as the House reassembled after the weekend, Congress leader in the House Mallikarjun Kharge supported by his colleagues was up on his feet raising the issue. He said his Adjournment Motion on the issue should be taken up. "If I cannot raise it in the House, where else should I do it," he asked.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, however, said, she would allow the Opposition members to raise the issue during Zero Hour. But as the bedlam continued she adjourned the House for about 10 minutes.
