Mayawati condemns Parrikar for claiming that RSS ideology was behind the surgical attack

"Such statements demoralise the Army, besides it is an insult of the soldiers, who are sacrificing their lives for the country," she said. 

In a statement here, Mayawati said such statements show the frustration of BJP and their leaders, who were trying to gain politically through this surgical strike. "Everyone in the country knows about the activities of RSS and their nefarious motive to divide the society," she added.

Parrikar had on Monday in Ahmedabad said, "I wonder, with the combination of the Prime Minister, who comes from Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi's home state, and I, Defence Minister, coming from Goa, which never had any martial race, and surgical strikes. May be the RSS teaching was at the core, but this was quite a different kind of combination".
