Five policemen injured in grenade attack in south Kashmir
Five policemen were injured in a grenade attack in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said this morning.

They said militants hurled a grenade at Kakpora police post in Pulwama at around 21:00 hrs last night, resulting in injuries to five policemen.
The injured were immediately taken to a hospital, they said, adding the militants managed to flee under the cover of darkness.
The attack came just a day after militants attacked a CRPF party at Nowhatta in the SeK on August 15 in which a Commanding officer from Jharkhand was killed and nine other security force personnel were injured. Two foreign militants involved in the attack were also killed in the retaliatory fire by security forces.
Five foreign militants were also killed in the same day near Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector after they infiltrated into this side from Pakistan occupied KashmirÂ
