    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the ranks of prominent global leaders at Madame Tussauds in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok next month, the world famous wax museum announced yesterday. "Prime Minister Modi is a hugely important figure in world politics, a position supported by his place in the top 10 of Time Magazine's Person of the Year List 2015," said museum spokesperson Kieran Lancini. 

    Mahatma Gandhi was the first Indian to have a wax statue at Madame Tussaud's museum in London.

    Amitabh Bachchan was the first Bollywood actor to get a place at the London’s Madame Tussauds wax museum in 2000. Bachchan’s wax statue was first displayed at New York in 2009, later moved to Hong Kong in 2011, then to Bangkok in 2011 and Washington, DC in 2012. According to an official statement, Bachchan was the only celebrity nominated by fans in a global online poll, for the first time in the wax museum’s history.

    Aishwarya Rai is the first Bollywood actress who got a place at London’s Madame Tussauds wax museum in 2004. Aishwarya’s wax statue is waving like a queen wearing a red embroidered saree and Indian jewellery reminds us of her early days in Bollywood. The much talked-about wax figure of the former Miss World was also displayed at Madame Tussauds museum in Times Square in New York, in 2007. 

    Hrithik Roshan was overwhelmed to be immortalised at the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London in 2011. The actor’s statue, resembling a Greek God, was seen flaunting his six pack abs representing his Dhoom look. Standing in an unbuttoned pink shirt and low-waist denims, the statue looked fabulous as the actor himself has worked closely with the museum artists to get an almost real replica.

    Shah Rukh Khan’s is perhaps the most life-like wax statues at the museum, that stands proud at the Madame Tussauds of London which was displayed in the year 2007. After being immortalised in a wax, the superstar has also shot for Maneesh Sharma's Fan in the museum. This is the first time that any film has been allowed to shoot within the premises of the museum.

    Sachin Tendulkar was the first Indian sportsperson to grace the Madame Tussauds wax museum of London, with a life-size wax statue of the master blaster released on his 36th birthday in 2009. Two years ago, Sachin Tendulkar's wax statue was installed at the Madame Tussauds of Sydney amidst huge fanfare and now it has been relocated to Madame Tussauds of Bangkok.

    After being voted as the 7th best looking man in the world by People Magazine, USA, Salman Khan was immortalised at London's Madame Tussauds museum in 2008. It was then restyled and unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in New York in 2012. The statue stands tall at the museum with a jacket on his back wearing a frame-hugging vest.

    Kareena Kapoor was the second Bollywood actress after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be immortalised at the Madame Tussauds Blackpool in 2011. Later the statue was restyled by Bebo resembling her look in 'Chammak Challo' in RA. It was recently unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Singapore too. 

    Katrina Kaif is the latest Bollywood actress at Madame Tussauds, London. The actress unveiled the sensibly sculpted wax statue in March 2015. Katrina has collaborated closely with the sculptors and artists to depict a dancing pose and outfit for the figure.
