Swamy tells Hindus to sink their differences
Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday called upon the Hindus to sink their differences and stay united to combat Islamic fundamentalism
Chennai
He was speaking at a function got up to launch a documentary video on the injustice meted out to Hindus in Tamil Nadu. Hindu Munnani leader Ramagopalan launched the documentary and Swamy received the first copy at the function which was attended by Sushil Pandit, Co-founder, Roots in Kashmir.Â
Speaking on the occasion, Swamy said it was time that Hindus stand united keeping aside differences among themselves on various lines and combat Islamic fundamentalism.Â
‘’One thing is clear, the jihadis are working with a clear state of mind, they have been aligning with various forces from time to time in this state and have been taking forward their agenda,’’ he claimed.Â
Stating that while the trouble-makers were clear in their agenda, the mindset of Hindus was akin to that of Arjuna in Mahabharatha, where things were not clear and only confusion reigned. ‘’It is time we drive away the confusion and stand united’’, Swamy added.  ‘’It is unfortunate that in a land where they (jihadis) are in minority, are dreaming of holding the majority to ransom.Â
However, when clarity prevails the confusion will end’’, he said referring to the example of Australia. In Australia when minority Muslims were told sternly to go for common civil code, many of them went for it, he pointed out.Â
‘’Hindu unity movement must start from Tamil Nadu and move upwards,’ Swamy added. Sushil Pandit of Roots of Kashmir which serves for the cause  of protection and welfare of Kashmiri Pandits also spoke on the occasion.  Â
