PIL files for allowing woman to enter Shani Singanapur temple
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed before the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court for allowing women to enter near the inner sanctum of Shani Singanapur temple in Ahmednagar district.

A PIL was filed yesterday by Dr Vasudara Pawar before the bench comprising Justices R M Borde and A I S Chima. It stated that as per the constitution the woman has right to perform the pooja inside the temple.
The court has issued notices to the Centre, the state government and Shani Singnapur trustee.
Meanwhile, it has not issued any interim stay in the case in view of similar PIL?s including Shabrimala and Haji Ali Darga are pending in the high court and supreme court respectively.
Next hearing will be on February 16.
