Prime Minister wants decisive action by Pakistan
Amid high tension over the terrorist attack bid on the IAF base at Pathankot, Pakistan Premier Nawaz Sharif called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promised “prompt and decisive action” against the terrorists behind the attack.

Official sources also hinted that the National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan are likely to meet in the next few days to take stock of the situation.
Modi during his talk with Sharif insisted for immediate steps on “specific and actionable” information provided to them.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar addressing media persons in Pathankot said that six terrorists were neturalised during the operations at the air base and added that combing would end by Wednesday.
While heaping praise on the martyrs, he assured that soldiers who were killed in the attack will get ‘battle casualty status’ and all other benefits. “I see some gaps (security related) that will be cleared after the investigation, the Defence Minister said. “The BSF has already been asked to give details of areas from where terrorists could have entered. There are indications that some of equipment used by terrorists were made in Pakistan. There is no suspected terrorist inside right now,” he added.
NIA to seek Pakistan help
The NIA will seek help of Pakistan in solving the Pathankot case once the identity of people contacted by the perpetrators has been established, the anti-terror probe agency’s chief Sharad Kumar has said.
