CPI leader Bardhan’s condition ‘very critical’
The condition of veteran CPI leader AB Bardhan, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital here following a paralytic stroke last month, has become “very critical”, a senior party leader said on Saturday

CPI national secretary D Raja commenting on veteran leader AB Bardhan’s health condition, said, “Condition of Comrade Bardhan has worsened and has turned very critical now.” Raja added that doctors at the G B Pant hospital, where the 92-year-old leader is being treated since December 7, are making “best efforts” to see improvement in Bardhan’s health. Bardhan has been a leading figure of the trade union movement in India. He succeeded Indrajit Gupta as the General Secretary of the party in 1996.
