ARR on board to compose music for Bala-GV project

We had earlier reported that National award-winning filmmaker Bala and GV Prakash will collaborate once again for a project in 2021 after Naachiyar.

Bala is usually known to join hands with Ilaiyaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja for his projects. 

However, there were speculations that Bala and AR Rahman might work together for the first time. As there wasn’t a solid confirmation on Rahman coming on board the project, a reliable source from the film’s unit told DT Next that the Oscar-winning composer is already a part of the project.

“Moreover, there were rumours that Atharvaa, Arya, and Suriya will also play the lead along with GV Prakash. They are just rumours. GV plays the solo lead in this project and an official announcement will be made soon,” the source added. GV Prakash also has a film with M Rajesh that will be produced by Sun Pictures.

The actor-composer also has half a dozen projects in various stages of production.
