A medium-paced rap promo song 'Khol Dimaag ka shutter' (Open mental shutter - meaning to become broad minded) for a new show in a popular Hindi entertainment channel has completely swayed with the runic R-word 'rasoda' (kitchen) that got the social media razzing.

'Kaatelal and sons' is a new fictional show that has two young girls taking up their father's business, a saloon. Kaatelal and sons, with the very title plays with irony, the girls taking up the job of boys.

'Rasode mein kaun thi' (who was in the kitchen) was the fiery line of the mother in law in of a popular Hindi soap Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, that had the social media chuckling for weeks. This promo song switched kaun with kyun, the lines 'Rasode mein kyu thi' (Why was she in kitchen) interspersing through-out the song.

The rest is history, the song has become a sensation with many hashtags sprouting from the lines #RasodeMeinKyunThi , #WhyOnlyRasoda , #KholDimaagKaShutter.

Sapno ka koi gender nahi (Dreams have no gender) has become the popular feminist punchline in Twitter.

The popular Hindi channel right now is in a sweet spot, its show is in spotlight and also the channel has become the vanguard of progressive thinking.
