Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas seriously injured on 'Kala' sets

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has been hospitalized after getting injured during the filming of an action sequence for his upcoming movie ‘Kala’. The actor has been kept under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU) in a private hospital in Ernakulam, Kerala.

“We were filming in Piravom. The movie mostly has action sequences. Tovino Thomas got the injury 3-4 days back at his belly area. Today morning we shifted him to the hospital after developing an unbearable pain,” the actor's manager said.

On hearing about Thomas's health condition, actor's fans took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery and pray for his better health.

‘Kala’ is an upcoming Malayalam movie directed by Rohit VS.  The director shared that the movie has a man vs wild theme. Tovino Thomas is playing the lead character and has also roped in as one of the co-producers for ‘Kala’.

He is known for his work in films such as Godha, Maari 2, Abhiyum Anuvum and Mayanadhi among others, Tovino was last seen on screen in Crime Thriller Malayalam film Forensic.
