Vijay Sethupathi follows Suriya's suit to release his Ka/Pae Ranasingam on OTT

Tamil film star Vijay Sethupathi has decided to release his film Ka/Pae Ranasingam on the OTT platform Zeeplex.

He is the second big star to do so after Suriya.

The actor took to twitter to officiate the announcement.

He had written that his film will release in five languages and will be subtitled in ten and will be streamed in over 150 countries.

Owing to the pandemic crisis many big ticket films are shifting from theatres to OTT to the angst of theatre owners.

Last month Suriya made the announcement of releasing his film Soorarai Pottru in Amazon prime. This move earned brickbats and condemnation from theatre owners.

Ka/Pe Ranasingam stars Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh, bankrolled by KJR films and directed by P. Virumandi.

Touted to be a political thriller, this film's release too like many other films have been stalled due to pandemic crisis.

'Master' another big ticket film starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi too is stuck in uncertainty over theatre reopening.
