One such ugly exchange has been happening off late with the self-proclaimed super model Meera Mithun abusing actors Vijay and Surya.
With the stars' fans giving it back, things became all the more unsavoury.
On Monday, veteran director Bharathiraja came out in support of the stars but was equally displeased with both Meera Mithun and Vijay-Surya fans.
Surya thanked the director for standing by him.
He further urged that his fans (referred by him as brothers and sisters) spend their valuable time for productive things.Â
